Full Retainer / Representation
Family law is made up of a set of complex rules, laws, and case law. Navigating it is difficult and fraught with dangers. The best decision you can make is to retain a lawyer to address all issues as they arise. Mark can provide this service. As your matter progresses, Mark will provide you with immediate advice on what needs to be done and why. There is no need to worry about whether the proper steps are being taken, the correct documents are being submitted, or if timelines are being met. Mark will take care of it all. A full retainer begins with a consultation, during which Mark will provide his opinion on your matter and outline various options to move forward.
Limited Scope Retainer
Have you decided to self-represent, but want a little help along the way? Mark can provide help on discrete issues on an as-needed basis. This is commonly referred to as "unbundled legal services". Services can range from providing guidance to drafting court documents to appearing in court. You define the extent of Mark's involvement.
Consultation
If all you want is an opinion on your legal proceeding or want discrete questions answered, this option may be for you. Mark will answer all your questions and provide his opinion on your matter. You are not obligated to retain Mark and your consultation can last as long as you need. Speaking with Mark may be all you need to feel better about your case.
Separation Agreements and Independent Legal Advice
Sometimes separating spouses come to a rough agreement, but want a lawyer to look over the agreement to ensure rights are protected and the agreement is enforceable, and/or to formalize the agreement. Mark provides these services. If your spouse has already had a lawyer draft an agreement, Mark can provide you with Independent Legal Advice to ensure your rights are protected and you are receiving your fair share from the relationship.
